The Moscone Center’s 24-hour security staff is responsible for monitoring the overall safety and security of the facility. Included in their responsibilities are:

• Regular perimeter checks to ensure that all emergency exit doors are secure
• Locking/unlocking lobby & interior doors
• Ensuring all exits are free of obstructions
• Reporting damage to the building
• Monitoring safety and security in the public and perimeter areas of the facility
• Monitoring emergency and fire life safety systems
• Assisting in medical or other emergency situations

Our building security staff does not provide security for contracted areas. Our Security Management Team will work closely with your contracted event security to ensure an emergency plan for your event is in place and the overall safety and security of your event has been addressed.
